INSTRUCTIONS FROM TANGIER MED PORT TO THE VENUE
THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR THOSE TRAVELLING BY FERRY AND WITH TRAILER WITH MORE THAN ONE BOAT
We have just learned that Spanish customs do not authorize embarkation from Tarifa for trailers with motorboats and/or ILCAs, therefore unfortunately the crossing must be done from the Port of Algeciras to Tangier Med, which is about 50km drive from Tangier.
NB: Note that Spanish customs requiers an ATA Carnet for all the material to leave the EU ! (Europeen exigence, not Moroccan one).
The information previously communicated by the Royal Yacht Club of Tangier is on how to access Morocco. Moroccan customs do not require an ATA Carnet.
If you already have tickets from Tarifa, you have time to change your ticket for Algeciras to Tanger Med, if you can’t do it online don’t worry about it, you can do it directly in Algeciras Port.
